Green Trees ~&~ Red Roses
Instead of concentrating on one state or country for this page,
I simply entered "beautiful place" in the image search box.
I was rewarded with many lovely photos and a certain amount
of reassurance that the world really is still a wonderful place.

This brought to mind the lyrics of the song playing in the back-
ground, the first line of which supplied the idea for the
title of the page.

When we're weary of the noise and negativity that sometimes
threatens to overwhelm us, it's nice to remember that, despite
the problems humankind has unleashed on this world of ours,
it is still truly a beautiful place.

I see trees of green, red roses, too,
I see them bloom for me and you,
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white,
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night,
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky,
Are also on the faces of people going by.
I see friends shaking hands, saying how do you do,
They're really saying, I love you.

I hear babies cry and I watch them grow,
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know,
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
Yes, I think to myself what a wonderful world.
